If you don't understand why my friends and I give him the nickname "special boy" here's him just...introducing himself. (The video description up on youtube had summed it up pretty accurately)
And the "instructional" dance video for both boys and girls. I feel so bad for the random staff members that had to suffer for the boys version.
And this is the most amusing thing to here at a concert, but since it's Miyavi I'm not surprised, but his band members are pretty pissed.

Right off the bat in only a 20 minute class our English teacher rushed to explain an essay assignment, 1 and a half pages, due tomorrow to be graded. From my [lack] of understanding is that we have to write about an "artifact that represents humanity to us". Ugh.
Only fun part was going over Usagi's house and chilling with friends. Hopefully Rekka will be better today <3 |

It was a really big campus...and the biggest library ever (26 floors of books HOLY CRAP YES). But I don't want a really big campus, but it has better classes for what I want to major in than UMASS Boston. =(
What I thought was great was that our tour guide's name was Rusty Brown XD
What I'm really pissed about is I only needed one more person to have in party to make a BuckTick guild on MapleStory!!! I have been waiting all summer to make it!!!! ARGH! Someone please join MapleStory. Momo said she'd be back by Monday to play MS but I really want to make it now ;~; |

Yesterday I went to Crane Beach in Ipswich, my first time at an ocean really. They water is really fucking cold, shocked the period right out of me for two hours :D The water is a lot saltier than I anticipated. I spat out half the fuckin' ocean even when I didn't swallow some of the water, like when it touched my lips and stuff. Most of the time I just read books. The trip converted my sister into an oceans lover, but I am now firm in my Lake/Pond religion.
And now for something completely different.
As I was having a blast Jasmine You, the bassist from Versailles died. The site didn't say why or how but, R.I.P. Jasmine! I'm in shock so I don't really register to me yet. I'm still hoping that it was a joke or a poor translation from the person.

Since Monday I've been volunteering at the public library for two hours everyday. I finally met with the Assistant Director today, and she said I could get a job there. o.0;; I've only been there for 3 days!!! So, I'm very happy~!
But I have to complete my 30 hours first, but I'm okay with doing more^^
So far all I have been doing is shelving the large prints (who knew large Print Mystery has it's own section?!?), mysteries, and fiction. I also do shelf readings, which is basically making sure everything is in alphabetical or numerical order.
In library land you refer to everyone by there first name, not last, so it was pretty strange for me to not call the older people there Mr/Ms/Mrs/Miss Whatever. It's very friendly atmosphere~ Cindy's really nice so I don't feel bad for being so new and useless~ |

Tomorrow is Chemistry & Math finals. Then Friday is Mandarin, the oral part which I'm completely freaking out about!!! I'm better at reading & translating than listening. (Opposite is true of Japanese). Period 1 is graphics so all I have to do is get my flash drive so I can get my artwork~! Monday is History final which is the one I'm least worried about xD
This weekend getting a bed for my sister so her bed can become part of the bunk bed again for when the exchange student comes. =) I hope they decide who gets who so I can start emailing them! Kya!

So I have to choose one main reason for my essay, which I don't know which one to choose because they're all really important on the question of identity & such. I think I'm leaning towards Education & Effects of Racism on Identity for my thesis but I'm not sure. That's because Socio-economics & Effects of Racism on Identity is really important too. Originally I was going to have Socio-economics, Politics, Ethnicity, Work, and Religion & Effects of Racism on Identity. Oh well. |

Leaving for China at 6:10 AM tomorrow! The plane ride will be pretty bad since it's my first time on a plane and yet I'm going as far as a can go~! I think the flight attendants will kill me because once every 3 hours I need to get up and pace. I'll be bringing Vampire Hunter D novels so it's okay if i lose that instead of Maddy's or anyone else's I'm borrowing.
Currently typing up as much as the JRP rough draft as possible, hopefully finish the introduction and at least one subheading (Effects of Socio-economics & Racism; it'll be my smallest one, which isn't really saying much anyhoodles). Maybe once I finish the final draft I'll post in under a cut here? I need to email it to my teacher before I leave that morning, so I'll stay up and see what I can do since I can sleep on the plane.
BTW my darling and lovely friends I will be sending an email to Maddy to her phone, if/when I can get a hold of hotel internet so ask her if you care if I didn't die on the plane =) Also since the media center will be done with checking in the manga can you please take out all of Spiral, and any others that I haven't read yet? (No DBZ, Naruto,Fruits Basket, One Piece, Blood+ or Bleach please) |

Also depending on how much stage time VAMPS gets for a regular concert vs. the 40 minutes of stage time for Warped Tour in CT I may be going to NY~ What's irritating is that they won't know what time they go on stage until the day of the concert so I won't be able to get in late...But I'd leave after they were done anyways (at least hopefully, right guys? You don't really want to stay for those other bands). I've been posting on boards so hopefully I'll know so I can order tickets BEFORE April Vacation (AKA CHINA) so I can plan out carpooling and/or hotel rooms. |

JRP nervous break down coming on soon, the notes are due Wednesday and I need to finish the last 200 pages. And the thing is with Ralph Ellison is he has 5 motifs & themes per quote and at least 25 on each page so I gave up on sticky notes =/ (My book was growing pink sticky-note fungus out of the sides of the text and I absolutely refuse to write in a book!) So all Tuesday night I'm going to have to type up all my notes....And for Science I have a power Point due tomorrow but my computer doesn't have the Power Point program and the teacher assigned it on Friday and I had to go straight home so I hope I can copy&paste all the crap before 2nd period...

SO WORTH WAITING FOR~!
I just about got addicted to half the songs on the CD~! Umbrella, Coyote, Lullyby-III, GALAXY, memento mori, Jonathan Jet-Coaster(who else giggled hearing that VERY SUBTLE line?), Suzumebachi, MOTEL13, and Katte ni Shiyagare. A perfect CD to fall asleep to (once you get past the first two songs).
Oh well. It cheered me up immensely during this stressful college application process, not to mention Junior Research Project! I'm still debating whether I want to major in Chinese Lit., Japanese Lit. or commit free time/social life suicide and do both? And of course of all the colleges I looked, I knew that my two hopeful choices were the ones that had the best Chinese & Japanese programs. So I'll just apply to both UMASS Amherst and Bryn Mawr and hope for the best! |

So Valentine's day was great. I celebrated this day of love with Sakurai Atsushi pictures and music, spending most of the day with the man I love Even though I've never met him and he's 42 and has a kid. REGARDLESS, today was fun grocery shopping with Dad *sarcasm*.
So yeah...Elizabeth, Malia and I all got white roses but I don't know from whom. (Please tell me it was you Maddy, I don't want to acknowledge Dan-the-stalker's hint that he gave them to me) So that makes me wonder if Freshman gave a rose to Malia (I support it DAMN IT!) but that'd leave out why Elizabeth got one (her boyfriend is in college at the moment). I doubt Maddy got them because she would have bought one for Omnipotent Author but she didn't have one when I saw her in the hallways...And Dan followed me to English with a rose in his hand, wondering not so subtly(he does this and it's really annoying, he'll talk and talk and try to analyze things that aren't there and then try to be witty and subtle when really it's just irritating) who gave him the rose, hinting that he thought it was me. Then I bluntly told him it wasn't. Then he asked me out (again for the 10th time) to a date and I said no.

Gah, I hate how Needham pressures you to think about college from 8th grade. I'm surprised I haven't had a nervous break down yet (though I'm VERY, VERY close to it). I also could use a job (not the current pet sitting one I have after school but a REAL one)...I need money for Buck Tick (the new CD comes out February 18th!) and their DVDs...and for my trip to China come April break. I recently looked at the calendar and it's only a week until February vacation! YES!
Updates on Penguin Army:
During the 2/6/09 assembly on Drugs & Alcohol substance abuse program our group sat near each other and made 221 penguins. The assembly itself was funny but it was nice to do something with my hands (Up until yesterday I haven't made a penguin in 2 weeks)
Currently we have a grand total of 1600 out of >9000 =)

Please stop questioning my sanity.
Today I spent all day making penguins and reading books, apparently makes my parents think me crazier than I actually am. (It's not strange to have an army of >9000 penguins!)
Anyhoodles, I have 190 currently at my house but Elizabeth's got around 500+ so we got about 600-700 total at the moment. In a moment of insanity I decided that if Hitler documented carefully his evil plan then why not us? So I'm taking pictures of our little minions and their leaders (ie: Morgan Freeman, Aizen, Kim-sempai, Bancouch, Urahara's Hat). Alas, the penguins are more photogenic than I, so I believe this photo shoot went well =)

So yeah I guess it's a good thing that I'm an insomniac. (even though I was about to fall asleep at this point)
At 3:00 this morning I had a scare. I thought my father was having a heart attack down the hall. So I rush out and ask if everything's ok.
No response.
Now I know my mother could never sleep through that happening right next to her, so I wait and hear my brother hacking away downstairs.
Apparently his throat closed up when he was sound asleep and he couldn't breathe for a couple minutes(which explains the really loud noises I heard). After reassuring me I did not in fact need to make him tea or call the ER I went back into my room and waited until I heard him make the familiar movements of him settling down for bed.(For once a use of hearing everything that goes on in the house from my room)
Once I felt that he would be ok I listened to my Buck Tick/Buono! CD until I feel asleep but that never happened because by the time my adrenaline rush was over and out of my system it was 6:00 and time to get ready for school. Surprisingly I wasn't tired at all today.
When I was up reflecting on what happened and different horrendous scenarios I realized that I'm very good at memorizing individual habits like how my brother always has this random grunt/cough every once in a while(which is how I judged he was okay and safely asleep). Then I started going over how when I'm at the computer (back turned) I can tell who is walking downstairs by the footsteps and how they place their weight.
I have a very good sense of smell; discovered & confirmed by the fact I once asked my brother if he had the red vitamin flavored pills, washed down with milk and had apple cinnamon Cheerios, and he told me that yes, I was right and wondered how the hell I knew.
For being a "loud" (and annoying I bet you want to add) I have extremely good hearing. I can't stand being in my living room now because the digital TV converter box makes this really high pitched sound which irritates me to boot so I can't be in that room any more for longer than I have too. And I'd like to point out before you make a comment on this: paying attention to reality and being able to hear is completely different thing! |

Just got back from my cousin's house =) It was really funny, on the way there I saw a red mustang with the license plate "MYPONY".
Also my cousin Amy straightened my hair out and gave Becca & I a straightener so we can do it at home now too.
Wednesday at club was fun and kind of awkward too. It was great seeing Meru-chan, L-chan, and K-chan (the others too) but a couple days before Matt P. talked with me on Facebook and asked randomly about anime club. See, when I talked with him over the summer he told me had a crush on me, but never mentioned he liked anime. (I talked to him about some manga I was reading and most people who know what manga is associate it with anime too) Until I told him I was in club he never showed an interest in it.
